Patient Advocate Scholarship Program

The application period for the 2016 ASCO Annual Meeting Conquer Cancer Foundation Patient Advocate Scholarship Program opens on Monday, April 4 at 12 PM and closes on Thursday, April 7 at 12 PM (Eastern Time).

The Conquer Cancer Foundation Patient Advocate Scholarship Program provides scholarships for patient advocates to attend ASCO-sponsored Symposia and the ASCO Annual Meeting to learn of important advances in their areas of interest. Scholarships help cover travel, hotel, and registration expenses and are based primarily on financial need, advocacy experience, and current advocacy activities and involvement. Patient advocates are offered a wide range of opportunities, including:

• Discounted Registration: Learn about patient advocate registration and register by April 27, 2016, for the best rate.
• Patient Advocate Scholarship Program: The application period for patient advocate scholarships will open in Spring 2016. This program is made possible by the Conquer Cancer Foundation.
• Patient Advocate Lounge: A “home base” where advocates can gather in a relaxed environment to network, attend small discussion groups led by ASCO experts and fellow advocates, take a break, and enjoy refreshments. A detailed schedule will be available in early May 2016.
• Patient Advocacy Exhibits: Visit with patient advocates exhibiting in the ASCO-Sponsored Patient Advocacy Booth (Booth #3005) and with additional patient advocacy organizations situated near the front of the Oncology Professionals Hall.
